GP Turbo is a Division of the NINGBO Motor Industry Company, which is a group of companies located in Ningbo city, the 4th biggest sea port in the world. GP Turbo began turbocharger development and manufacture in 2008 and at that time focused solely on supplying the Chinese domestic OEM market. In 2010 GP Turbo set up an aftermarket production line. In 2012 GP Turbo invested in a new stand alone aftermarket facility. In 2017, having outgrown the original aftermarket facility, GP Turbo invested in a brand new aftermarket facility with an annual capacity in excess of 75,000 complete Turbocharger assemblies and 125,000 Cartridges.

There are more than 900 different Turbocharger models in GP Turbo’s product range, covering Passenger, Truck, Bus, Industrial and Agricultural vehicles. GP Turbo can also supply 560 models of cartridges and other spare parts such as repair kits , pneumatic actuators, sensors and electronic actuators.

GP Turbo operates on an assembly basis only, without any machining . GP Turbo’s Aftermarket facility shares the same supply chain as the OEM operation , strictly controlling each component. GP Turbo devotes all its attention to Supplier control, inwards QA testing and Assembly of the final product, along with its

  • calibration. Currently GP Turbo has two assembly lines,
  • ne automated assembly line for high volume production,

the second manual assembly line for small order production.

Customer Claims Policy:

If there are only one or two claims from a complete shipment, I.E. less than 1%, GP Turbo initially provides new replacement components, then asks for photos of the faulty parts or samples for analysis. GP Turbo will then provide a failure analysis report. If the problem is of a significant nature, I.E. more than 5% of a given model; firstly GP Turbo requests that the customer ceases the sales of that model. Secondly, the customer should immediately send GP Turbo two failed samples for analysis. GP Turbo will then provide a failure report and discuss a solution with the customer.

Why GP Turbo ?

With an OEM supply background, both the technological and component supply systems are very well supported, greatly assisting with patent avoidance, performance improvement and risk management.

Technical Background

GP Turbo obtains its initial data about any given market and products through Chinese Customs data and third-party service companies. GP Turbo then goes to the market, visits customers, markets, stores and even recycling companies to obtain first-hand information. As a result of of GP Turbo’s market research and product development services, it is better placed to service its customers.

Marketing

1) Provides technology training to customers as requested ; 2) Deal with any customer claims actively and quickly; 3) Share information about new markets and products as GP Turbo receives it.

Services

GP Turbo currently has a huge product range and is still developing new products. GP Turbo’s quality is always at the highest possible level; however GP Turbo continues to improve in this area with a target of less than 0.5% customer claim in aftermarket.
