Genesee Opportunity TRAIN AND RETAIN YOUTH FOR GENESEE COUNTY’S FUTURE • The objective is to ask Genesee County residents to approve a small millage to support all graduating seniors. • By receiving approval of ¼ mill (.25 mill) for 20 years, every Genesee County graduating senior would receive a “jump start” stipend for the first year of further education and training. • Supporting graduates with a one-time stipend, regardless of what pathway they choose after graduation, may give them the resources they need to succeed beyond high school.
