I-95 Southbound Rappahannock River Crossing • Construction on $125 million project begins August 2018 • Converts 3 existing lanes to local lanes on I-95 southbound • In the median, 3 thru traffic lanes will be built on I-95 southbound • New lanes start north of Route 17 interchange in Stafford and continue south past Route 3 interchange in Fredericksburg/Spotsylvania • New bridge to be built over the Rappahannock River to carry thru lanes in the median • Replaces Route 17 overpasses in Stafford 11

  24. Exit 126 Area Improvements Route 17 Overpass Replacement, Widening • Builds new 4-lane overpass • Widens Route 17 to east of Hospital Boulevard • Sidewalks • Project completed fall 2022 25

  25. Route 1 and Commonwealth Drive Park & Ride • $16.6 million • Approximately 700 new spaces in Massaponax area • Construction advertised in spring 2020 • Lot opens summer 2021 26
