the South-East corner of the intersection

  • Landscape treatment will encourage passengers to

circulate and approach building.

  • Will house trains, repair and washing facilities, offices

and a parking lot

  • A 32m set back from Finch Avenue will be used

for future City urban development after project construction is complete

Monitor Environment before construction starts Protect bird population

  • Have alternate site in place to attract Eastern

Meadowlark, a tall grass bird, from nesting at the MSF site

  • Cut grass and remove small shrubs and trees in the

construction area.

  • Check construction site during nesting season for

signs of Eastern Meadowlark (classified as threatened under the Environmental Species Act) and call a biologist if seen in the construction area.

We will be rebuilding this portion of the pathway as well, but ideally we can keep it open until absolutely necessary, to allow people to continue using the Humber Arboretum Trail (ie. a year of more from now).
