ROLE OF THE ORGANISER

1. Supply a doping control station

  • Requirements detailed under Supplement 6 of Appendix H

to the International Sporting Code

  • The doping control station must contain:
  • At least one room intended for the control
  • Independent toilet facilities
  • A sufficient stock of sealed bottles of water
  • the Chairman of Stewards must check the compliance
  • f

the DCS. If not: must be rectified prior to the start of the competition.

  • Access to the Doping Control Station

must be clearly indicated in English

2. Ensure that accreditations are available

The Doping Control Officer(s) and the designated Chaperones will require accreditation to access the Stewards, Drivers and Doping Control Station No advance notice in case of control Please coordinate with the Chairman of the Stewards to make sure accreditations are available from the beginning of the competition

  • 3. Ensure the availability of Chaperones

FIA Chaperones must: Be over the age of eighteen (18) Be able to communicate effectively in English Not have any Conflict of Interest in the role of a Chaperone Be available to meet Steward’s request to assist with an eventual Doping Control at very short advance notice Male and female Chaperones should be appointed, depending on the sex of the Athletes competing.

IMPORTANT POINTS

Organisation of the controls

  • Controls can be organized by the FIA or the National Anti-

Doping Organisation of the country where the event takes place

  • The FIA has jurisdiction for all competitions registered with the FIA

International Calendar

  • The NADO can organise controls for all events taking place on its

territory, whether national or international (ex: the Swiss NADO can test during FIA/national competitions organised in Switzerland)

  • The control proceedings for a control are the same for a

minor or a disabled driver, except that they will be allowed to be accompanied by a representative throughout the sample collection

IMPORTANT POINTS

  • All the materials in connection with the control will be

provided by the DCO (or the Chairman of the Stewards), to the exception of the bottles of water

  • The Doping Control Station/Medical Center might be used for

alcohol testing (organized solely by the FIA)

  • Around 115 drivers have been tested this year over 30

competitions (from World Championship to International Series)
