5 Y: (Jumps into the conversation). Yes (takes Kumar’s bag and hides it behind her). We are here with the new product packaging you requested. (Takes out a huge box of O.R.S.). HEALTH MINISTER: (Turns away). Yes, yes, I think I did not make it clear, I want a bigger packaging. Y: (Surprised look)... Ah....? X: Yes, Yes, we have.... (Happily and hurriedly reaches for her bag of cash). (Ajith and Kumar struggles with their conflicting beliefs – Kumar tries her best to bring out the cash, Ajith keeps cash). Y: Well, well... In that case, we should come back with the right packaging specifications. X: Disappointedly walks out of room with Ajit. (Gong sound- signifies exit). SCENE 4: At the office of ECT: Super Health. (Background: Office scene background). X: We have already been in Kingstown for one year. Our finance department has reported losses from the lack of willingness of the minister to accept our product. Y: We have changed the size of the box for the 50th time already, this month PLEASE, the minister is asking for a different box. This box (will bring out all the cash from her bags). (Kumar will pause). Etc… Conclusion: HEALTH MINISTER: Some countries have legalized bribery if the circumstances warrant it for safety of life and limb. X: However there is a need to innovate and to appeal to the senses of the leaders to draw their attention away from money but towards humanitarian benefits and career benefits. Y: Getting the people and the media involved have been done successfully in some similar situations. END…
