- Guidance from Governor that schools in high-risk
areas should open remotely
- King County is a high-risk area
- A higher infection rate than when we closed schools
in March
- 3.5 times more
- Input from Public Health of Seattle & King County
- Closing a different school each week for outbreaks

TWO OPTIONS for STUDENTS
Temporary Remote and In-Person Hybrid
- Temporary remote all grades
- Students enrolled in classes at their school
- Evaluate at 6 weeks
- Some students receive services in person
based on Individual Education Plan
- In-Person Hybrid when it is safe deemed
appropriate BSD Virtual Program
- Remote learning all grades
- Students clustered with classmates from
their home school, as possible
- Students may change enrollment to in-
person at the semester
- To the extent possible, courses such as
advanced learning and dual language Spanish or Mandarin will be provided in the BSD Virtual program
