  14. Eligibility….. Faculty of Science Student B. Sc. Completed 36 units of credit ( 2 nd or 3 rd year…) GPA 4.2 But we are willing to have flexibility/exemption to these criteria. University of Adelaide 14

WHAT does it involve: • Approx. 120 hours within a Host company • Equivalent to 2 days/week for 10 weeks ( arranged and negotiated directly with host company ). • Placement will NOT be lab-based. ”In and around” science = actual job Business, communication and engagement.   17. assessment TASK 1: Portfolio: your professional and personal skills and the activities you have done to create a profile. CV. LinkedIn profile or other activities. Then a document on the research for the company you are assigned to…its structure and role (they may have a mission statement or other vision statements…) NEEDS TO BE SUBMITTED BEFORE YOU START YOUR INTERNSHIP University of Adelaide 17

  18. assessment TASK 2: A diary entry that is provide every two weeks in your internship – this is not to be more than 250 words. This details three aspects: 1. The activities that you have done and are doing. 2. The challenges and what you are learning. 3. What attributes you are developing – what skills beyond the technical skills – the interpersonal skills and other transferrable skills). THIS IS SUBMITTED AS A SINGLE DOCUMENT ON COMPLETION OF YOUR INTERNSHIP University of Adelaide 18

  19. assessment TASK 3: This is a REFLECTIVE JOURNAL and REPORT (report on the complete internship). It needs to include these: There are the activities that you have done – what you were required to do, the technical and physical tasks that you undertook The things that you learnt. The skills you developed. Then looking back at how you considered your career pathway before your internship – what you now understand of your option and your personal qualities. A Reflection of the process – the internship. THIS IS SUBMITTED 4 WEEKS AFTER COMPLETION OF YOUR INTERNSHIP University of Adelaide 19
