Is there any role for innovation policy to promote that persons with disabilities can access, afford and benefit from technologies (both assistive and general)? Innovation policies that promote the development / diffusion of technologies relevant for persons with disabilities: • R&D capacities • Commercialisation & adaptation capacities • Supporting services • Develop a local sector specialised in commercialising technologies/services for people with disabilities • Procurement policies to promote development of new technologies/ diffusion of existing ones • Regulation Inclusive Technology and Innovation Policies
