Dove Schools mission: Excelling in math and science prepares youth to succeed in college and the workplace in the 21st century.
At Dove we recognize that educational success is achieved in utilizing the resources that we have on hand at all times regardless of funding, and that is the partnership of students-teachers-parents working toward a common goal. That goal is to help the students of Dove reach their highest potential a potential that includes intellectual, social, emotional, and physical while focusing that potential toward STEM. We use a variety of intervention methods to help our students including 9th hour and Saturday school for those struggling in an academic area. Parent support of these programs is essential. District wide we serve approximately 2110 students including approximately 405 ELL students and approximately 204 SPED students.

We Strive for Excellence
Even with our limited resources we have been able to become both a National School of Character and a National Blue Ribbon School in 2017. We are able to do these types of things by striving to fill our students not only with a strong academic background but also with a strong civic background. In addition to core classes grades 6-8 have a character education class and the high school students are required to do 30 hours of community service per year as a graduation requirement.
ACT Scores At Dove are at or above average. With all juniors having taken the test. The average is 21.9 ranging from a 14-32. Dove has 100% participation in the ACT.

OK Promise Champion
Dove has been awarded the Oklahoma Promise Champion several years in a row. This plays into how we are able to ensure for our student’s continued success after graduation. Since we have a large percentage of low-income students this allows many of them to become first generation college graduates. The exact number of years that Dove has been an Oklahoma Promise Champion can be found at the following link: Https://www.okhighered.org/news-center/okpromise-champs2017.shtml

Dove has consistent and documented success with student performance despite the fact that we are a lottery based school that has ELL learners, all different levels of learners when they enter the system at 6th grade. By the time that they have arrived at the 12th grade they are prepared and have been accepted to a college(s). This is accomplished by intensive teacher and parent involvement. With home visits by teachers, extra learning time in our 9th hour and Saturday school programs for struggling students. We also advocate for literacy with use of our Accelerated reader, and the personal goals that each student receives. We are able to do more for less because we expect more from our students and our staff.
