Our philosophy: European Studies A.The analysis of problems and possible solutions is central to designing solutions that work (comparative research approach) B.Public challenges are increasingly cross-border and transnational C.Government ( “ public sector ” ) needs to cooperate with the “ private sector ” and citizens to successfully implement policies D.Public challenges are complicated and emerge/develop at an exponential speed

Why is ES in Twente different?  The University of Twente is a university of technology  Technological solutions are created on campus (robots, drones, ICT solutions, health technology, infrastructure)  At the UT students will learn the value of these technologies, and  will learn the challenges of societal implementation of technology

  27. One-year programme ‘ European Studies ’ 60 EC; Starts in September  6 core courses (5 EC each)  3 foundation, 3 deepening / specialization  Study trip (Brussels, Paris, Den Haag, etc.)  Master thesis 30 EC (with an optional course of 5 EC)
