Context Among « non safe » action linked to Navigation : • 80 % are related to wrong decisions ; • 15 % are related to perception errors resulting in the complete ignorance of the danger until the accident occured. Situational Awareness 12

Stakes The multiplication of information available on board is no longer leading to an improvement of navigation safety and effisciency. Navigators need new tools to better acccess, manipulate and analyse the data on board . This movement toward integrated and coherent navigation systems has led to the development of first generation integrated bridge system (IBS). What are the next steps ? 13

Project activities are focused upon disruptive innovations leading to long term technical differentiators.
