Neighborhood Fire Stations – ESER 2014 FS35 – Fireboats Headquarters – EXISTING FACILITY DEFICIENCIES q

SFFD operational effectiveness is limited by the current facility

  • Welding is hazardous in this facility.
  • Fire station and pier structure have not been seismically retrofitted
  • No ambulance access to back of fire station for transfer of injured
  • No waste oil tank for service truck access – currently stored in 55 gallon drums
  • No decontamination space for firefighters and equipment
