  2.  We are Independent Environmental Consultants, with a team Independent of experienced environmental practitioners and specialists  We’ve worked in all Provinces of SA and have professionally conducted environmental studies for (amongst others): o Residential developments o Infrastructure (roads, bridges, water and sewer infrastructure) o Industrial developments o Electricity transmission and distribution lines and substations.

  3.  Appointed by SANPARKS to conduct the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the Shangoni Gate Development  Application will be made to DEA  Authorisation in terms of NEMA (2014 Regulations) An EIA is the investigations carried out to identify, predict, evaluate and mitigate the biophysical, social, economical , and other relevant effects of proposed developments prior to major decisions being taken and commitments made

  4.  Public Participation (newspapers, sites notices, BIDs, meetings, interviews, etc)  Specialist investigations, including Heritage impact Biodiversity, Socio-economic studies  Environmental Report (& public Review) ◦ Basic Assessment Process (approx. 8 months) ◦ Scoping EIA Process (approx. 13 months)  Report to authorities for a decision.

  5.  An entrance gate facility (reception office, staff facilities)  An Environmental Education Centre & tourism hub  overnight chalets & tented camp site  Picnic spot

  6. Road upgrading within the Vhembe District Municipality is as follows: Road Section Detail km D3641 From end of tar north Mninginisi to 5,1 1 Shingwedzi River 9.2km 2 New Road From The Hub to KNP Fence 3,5 3 D3799 – Road From Shingwedzi River bridge to 0,6 Realignment Muyexe Road D3741 Altein to T-junction en route to Plange 3,5 4 Village 18km 5 D4 T-Junction to Matsakali Village 14.5 Road construction & upgrading included in this EIA :  Road Section Detail km New Tar Road From fence via bridge to Reception Office and to H1-6 50,6 50.6km (5m wide) (Shangoni gate to H1-6 between Shingwedzi & Mopani rest camps)

  7.  low-level bridge over the Shingwedzi River  solar hybrid energy systems  bulk services (sewer line & pump stations, water supply lines, additional reservoirs & water purification plants)

  8.  To assist SANPARKS to obtain environmental authorisation for the Shangoni Gate Development (inside KNP).  To provide sufficient information to DEA for decision making  To comply with legislation that guide the EIA process
