We don’t need Fall Protection
It will only take a second to complete
the task.
I left my gear in the truck. I’ve done “this” a thousand times. We are not up “that” high.
Fall Protection Plans
All work sites should develop a written fall protection plan which
includes:
Identification of the fall hazards in each area Detailing the fall protection system(s), and/or equipment to be used in each
area
Implementing the procedures to assemble, maintain, inspect, use and
disassemble the fall protection system(s)
Organizing procedures for rescue of a worker who has fallen and is
suspended by personal fall arrest system or safety net, but is unable to effect self rescue.
ANSI Z359.2 Inspections
Inspections Daily inspections of fall protection equipment and
anchorages by the authorized person, or user of the equipment, as well as yearly inspection by a qualified person, competent person or competent rescuer are required
Items to verify include: Presence and legibility of markings and tags Presence of all integral components of the equipment Absence of defects and damage
