LIAISON ROLE-VITAL

• Liaise with Club office, Pro-shop and Caterer
• Contact clubs a couple of weeks prior to match date

with menu’s, prices and to request approx. numbers of players, caddies etc. for catering.

• Organise welcome committee with tea/coffee etc. and

club cards for teams with any local rules not on card.

• Organise starter for matches, ensuring prompt start.

Organise 1st tee is clear if matches need to go down 19th.

• Report match results promptly to ILGU district

committee member.

• Walkover; inform host club and tournament

secretary/district committee member.

• Weather; attempt to finish matches, but if not

possible mark position of ball and organise with club a date to finish match. Report to District (remember same team must complete match)

SENIOR CUP –DISTRICT QUALIFIER WOODBROOK MAY 7TH/8TH

• Seeding – 1st and 2nd seeds will be winners

and runners up from previous year district finals.

• All other teams will be seeded in order of lowest

aggregate handicaps of the 5 players at the time of entry. (The 5 players on the original entry must be at the venue for first match unless incapacitated by accident or illness)

PAIR MINIMUM 19 COMB AND MAX 46

• 5 pairs to play (team of 10) with 3 pairs to play at home and 2 away (team
• n top of draw has home advantage for preliminary and round 1, then

consult club number for subsequent rounds)

• Each match played to a conclusion with team with 3 wins progressing to

next round.

• Shots to be conceded changed to 90% of the difference between full

handicaps with lowest handicap player going to scratch etc.

• Each district will now host a district final- Seapoint September 5th.

Closing Date March 4th- entry forms available on line.
