GMC Online Campus
Functions as independent campus in the GMC system. Fully staffed with administration, admissions, advising, faculty, etc. All degree programs delivered 100% online in an asynchronous modality. Educating over 3,000 students each term. Five terms of eight weeks that fit inside a traditional high school schedule. Faculty that are dedicated to teaching not research.
How Our Partnerships Work
- 1. You select the students.
- 2. You select the course offerings.
- 3. We provide all admissions, financial and advising counseling on your
schedule.
- 4. We place your students into cohorts.
- 5. You schedule the courses into the students’ school day.
- 6. We deliver quality courses by dedicated faculty.
- 7. We work together to push students to their full potential.
Our Partnership Difference
- 1. We offer flexibility.
- 2. We allow your students access to all programs.
- 3. We believe that your active involvement is crucial to student success.
- 4. We bring our academic programs and quality to your school.
- 5. Staying on campus allows students to have the high school experience.
We Adapt to You
Commitment to Student’s Success
Committed, Caring Faculty
Our Faculty have all been trained in student-centered learning, delivering content and skill-building. Our faculty hold at least a master’s degree, while many hold specialist and doctoral level degrees. Many of our faculty were high school instructors before becoming a professor; there are others who still teach at the high school level while serving GMC Online.
Opportunities for Cohort Learning
Online Cohorts for YOUR Students
Our cohort programs protect the integrity of the learning environment YOU have established by keeping your students in the same courses so that they can use each other as learning resources. We reach out to your school to recruit qualified faculty to lead these cohorts when possible. Some GMC DE cohorts also include on ground support from local personnel, especially if the school can provide qualified faculty to lead the cohort. We have seen higher than normal success rates due to this approach.
Round the Clock Resources
We provide “Round the Clock” resources for our students.
24 hour/7 days per week live tutors using SmarThinking.com Students receive unlimited free tutoring via SmarThinking.com, courtesy of GMC. Students have access to the GMC Online library 24/7. GMC’s Online Librarian, Ryan Taylor, is also available to help students with research questions and projects. We provide library guides for quick reference; these guides give students great direction on how to approach their research.
Transparency and Communications with Partners
We do not subscribe to the “They’re college students now, so we can not communicate with you” mentality.
We are your partners, not your obstacle. We respect the fact that these are YOUR students, and we are sharing this opportunity with you to shepherd them in their journey. Our experience has been that when GMC partners with you, students benefit the most.
Counselor Check-Ins and Updates
We believe that timely, frequent feedback, not only to the student, but also the counselors, is vital to the success of your students and the DE program. Each week, my office offers a “check-in” where student’s current average is provided to the counselors at each partner school. Counselors are encouraged to contact the student’s advisor to work with us in offering constructive feedback and positive direction to struggling students. We openly communicate with counselors from the partner schools to ensure there are no surprises and there are ample
- pportunities for early intervention.
