BASD C Cyber G Goal als, O Opport rtunity S y Statements a and Key D Drivers Berks Online Learning (BOL) strives to provide a cyber option for students enrolled in Berks County schools in order to: • Offer a flexible alternative to customize learning opportunities for students. • Reduce the number of students enrolling in cyber charter schools. • Provide the opportunity for currently enrolled cyber school students to return to the their home district. • Support the blended/hybrid learning initiatives in schools. • Allow BASD to offer a wider catalog of courses.

A Glimpse Into the History of BOL 2010-2011 • Berks Online Learning program began with two students. 2012-2014 • Began to offer Credit Recovery and Accelerated courses. • BASD Cyber Program began. 2014-2015 • Provided services for 260 full-time students and 389 credit recovery students. • Support the hybrid program at Reading School District (578 students). 2015-2016 • Partner with seven school districts in Berks County during the full year and most districts in the county participate in Summer School. • Supported 229 students in grades K-12.
