  7. 2020 LRTP: Expanding Beyond Measure M Increasing Transit Ridership Fiscally Constrained Policy Enhancements Daily Transit Trips in 2047 • Approximately 1% improvement in daily transit trips for every 1₵ charged per mile. • A fully subsidized transit trip for all riders may increase ridership up to 25%. 7

LA County Investments Metro controls almost Countywide Investment, FY2021 – FY 2050, in $billions ¾ of all LA County transportation funding Countywide Bus Capital, $20.7 , 5% Other, $23.0 , 6% Countywide Rail and Transitway Capital, $60.9 , 15% Highway, Streets, Roads, and Multimodal, $105.1 , 26% Countywide Rail Operations, $46.4 , 12% 30 Year Total: Fund Balances & Carryover, $400 billion $9.8 , 2% Debt Service, $35.7 , 9% Countywide Transit Operations/Paratransit, 8 $98.5 , 25% Other: includes safety net program, agency-wide admin and capital, and regulatory oversight.
