Housing @ TMCC CON’T Once complete TMCC will add: • 2 1-bedroom units and 1 studio in South Wing Once complete, TMCC • 1 3-bedroom unit, 6 2-bedroom will bring units and 3 1-bedroom units in Centre Wing 76 units • Additional units in North Wing • TMCC exists to meet community to the community needs and are open to being a safe and affordable home to Peterborough’s vulnerable citizens

  10. Food Centre & Fulcrum Cafe • Café open weekdays 8am- 2pm serving breakfast and lunch • Food Centre is used 7 days per week • In-house catering for weddings, events and meetings • TMCC and Community Training and Development Centre programs • Space rentals by local businesses and organizations

Community Hub • 10,877 square feet of community spaces • 21 non-residential tenants including Camp Kawartha, Kawartha Land Trust, Fleming College’s Early Childhood Educator Program, The Dennis Group Inc., VON – Adult Day Program and Assisted Living Services Program, Rowan Tree Children’s School, Community Training and Development Centre, Compass North Consulting, Frolic Design etc. • Regular space rentals from 13 community groups including meditation, addictions remediation, dance, tai chi, yoga, Buddhist addictions recovery programs, music, art therapy and martial arts

Peterborough County & The Mount Community Centre • The County of Peterborough and its townships have been supportive of The Mount Community Centre since our inception. • TMCC is extremely grateful for the previous support including a $1.7 million low interest loan which allowed us to move forward with Phase 1 construction. • County Council Members and Staff were onsite in September for a tour and update on this important project.

Peterborough’s Affordable Housing Future • In 2014 the Peterborough’s 10-Year Housing & Homelessness Plan indicated a target of 500 new affordable units over 10 years. • The Mount Community Centre working to provide 76 of those units in the 131,400 square foot main building. • The Mount Community Centre is not stopping there. We are always exploring the possibilities for additional affordable and transitional housing developments on our 10- acre property.
