DM Project 1 Celebrity Bio (Requirements, Slide making Tips, and Tricks)
Title Slide ● Make it stand out (Don’t make it distracting) ● Have an image (No distracting backgrounds) ● Title - “Celebrity Bio” ● Have a proper heading
Bio Slides Use appropriate font size ● Do not use clipart ● Be creative (Don’t be distracting) ● Give a brief summary of the celebrity’s life ● Give career highlight ● If too long, you can create more slides ● *** Do not overwhelm the slide with just text *** *** If you are using bullets, try using the 6 x 6 rule ( 6 bullets per slide and 6 words per bullet ***
Bio Slide (Cont.) ● Answer: - In your opinion, what was their biggest achievement? - What surprised the most about about this person? (Something you didn’t know about your person) - If you could, would you want to be this person? Why or why not? - Explain a story that happened to your person and describe how you would feel if you were placed in the same situation? *** If you want, you can do seperate slides for each question ***
Bio Slide (Cont.) ● Add a conclusion - What is the biggest thing about life that you have learned from this person? *** Throughout these slides you can add videos, if time permits, if these videos are related to your person and if they are informational ***
Awards Slide ● Have 3 categories - Award Name - Year Received - Info about the award (how, what,why) *** It would be smart to do a table, but you are free to represent this information however you want Some pictures would be great here (the person holding said award) ***
Image Slide(s) ● Have a minimum of 10 images of your person - Make sure they are appropriate - The images should be lear - Images should not be stretched/distorted *** If images do not fit, don’t be afraid to crop them ***
Work Cited Slide ● Have proper MLA Format “Work Cited” slide - Keep in mind, if more than one work cited, your title should be “Works Cited” - Make sure everything you used has a work cited (images and information) *** Having a work cited page is very important *** *** It is not good to steal things from others ***
