The Results…

  • We ended up becoming an integral

part of the campaign

  • Activism is all-encompassing, and has

plenty of unforeseen barriers!

  • Days of action and garnering student support
  • Organized within the group
  • Created website

Obstacles

  • How to contact Alumni and Staff
  • Major delays in responses from administration
  • Initial (and still some current) disagreement from

administration

Lots of success!

  • All petitions are circulating, with most signatures on Faculty

and Student petitions.

  • Support from high-up administration
  • Meeting with Socially Responsible Investment committee earlier

today!

  • Faculty Senate meeting this week – Fossil Free to present
  • Press coverage from the likes of Huffington Post, Grist,

Youtube (>12k views), The Santa Clara, 350.org, and more!

The Future

  • Our goals were end-point,

but the nature of activism makes everything slow-moving.

  • As meetings take place with admin, action and outreach will

continue

  • The campaign continues through the summer and into next

year!
