  3. Scope The Information Creation and Curation Topic Committee focuses on issues regarding: • metadata creation and management, • cataloging and description, • vocabulary and ontology management, • publishing schemas and specifications, • preservation and data curation, and • repositories.

  4. How does this work? • Identify a need that can be met • Who are the stakeholders? • Outline a proposal: what needs to be done? – White paper – Best practices & guidelines – A new or updated standard • Present the proposal to the topic committee • Topic committee votes
