successful implementation of climate and health initiatives.

Eligibility

  • Local government entity or other local organization working

in climate change and health. “Local” is here defined as

  • rganizations working at county, city, or community levels

(e.g., local health departments).

  • Have experience working in local climate change and health

initiatives.

  • Have current projects in climate and health that would

benefit from supplemental funding.

  • Demonstrate need for funding.

Priority will be given to applicants who: Have experience working with NACCHO on climate-related projects.

email and in the PDF application.

  • Letters of support are required for

applicants that are not an employee

  • f a local health department.

NACCHO Contract

Review NACCHO’s standard contract language – make sure your agency would be able to sign and return to NACCHO within 30 days of receiving contract.

(Note: NACCHO has a specific contract template as approved by the State’s General Counsel for applicants from the states of FL and TX. Please email us for a copy should you need it.)

Organizational Subrecipient Risk Assessment Form.

  • Agencies that cannot complete

NACCHO’s subrecipient risk assessment form should not apply for this initiative.

Budgets

Proposed budgets should range from $16,000 to $24,000. Funding…

  • Cannot be used for the purchase or upkeep of office

equipment.

  • Cannot be used to purchase food or beverages.
  • Cannot be used for the purchase of gift cards.
  • Previous participants have sought reimbursement for staff

training, field supplies, staff time, and consultants.
