Del Campo Academic Assistance & Extended Learning
DCAAEL
What is DCAAEL? DCAAEL is a 42-minute period built into the school day when all students have access to academic support that will prepare them to meet the demands of higher education and careers. Why is Del Campo Initiating DCAAEL? The block schedule moves quickly. Students can fall behind in classes. With a 42 minute support period, students can get the help they need every week, before they fall so far behind that they can’t catch up. When Does DCAAEL Take Place? Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday between periods 1 and 2. Who Attends DCAAEL? Every student.
- Students with a grade of C, D, or F will report to their *Priority Period class (see below).
- Students with a grade of A or B can attend an Extended Learning Activity.
*Priority Period is the class that determines whether a student remains in Academic Assistance
- r is eligible for Extended Learning Activities that day.
