In third grade students will become researchers and presenters in two different content areas. Continuing the work began in grades K through 2, students will develop the skills needed to be a life -long investigative learner. As students are older and more able to conceive of places and people that are outside of their immediate lives, topics of study for grades 3 and above will begin to move from the “here and now.” This year we will study the Brooklyn Bridge and the Lenape Indians.

CONTENT STUDIES

slide-7
SLIDE 7

The best test prep is a Common-Core aligned curriculum that aids students in continuing their development as strong readers, writers and

  • mathematicians. As time goes on, we will work

with students on specific test taking strategies. Along with content and skills, we will be assisting students in growing a metacognitive awareness of their strengths and weaknesses. This awareness allows students to remain calm during the test, and know when and how to do their best work for their own individual learning style.

STATE TESTS

  • f study we are working on at school.
  • Work can be handed in at any time before the final due date.

 DreamBox

  • Online math website that supports that way that we are teaching math at school.
