How do I I socially dis istance?

Follow the instructions on the signage and floor markings e.g.

  • Keep 2 metres apart as you walk around the school site.
  • Walk on the left.
  • Queue for toilets, classes and entry to buildings at the marker points
  • n the floor.
  • Only sit on the seats that are marked available – inside and out.
  • Do not hang around in groups before, on the way to, or after school.
  • Enter through the front gate only.
  • Avoid public transport if you are able to.

How do I I min inimis ise contact wit ith others?

  • The classes are small to minimise your contact with other students.
  • Stay in your zoned areas.
  • Only use your zoned toilets.
  • Stay 2 metres away from each other.
  • Follow the one way systems e.g. Bardsley, Gorton, Sixth Form.
  • Do not make any physical contact with students or staff.
  • Do not share equipment or hand work/items to staff (essential work can be

placed in a box for 72 hours).

  • Stay in school – you cannot leave school site during the day and then

return – this increases the risk of the virus spreading.

Year 10: What are timings of the day?

  • 8:45–9:00am Staggered arrival and directed to venue to wash hands

(Bardsley/Theatre).

  • 9:00-9:45am Lesson 1 - Social Distancing Talk by Senior Leaders in Venue

(Theatre/Hall).

  • 9:45-10:45am Lesson 2 in venue.
  • BREAK IN ZONED SPACES
  • 11:00-12:00am Lesson 3 in venue.
  • LUNCH IN ZONED SPACES
  • 12:30-13:30am Lesson 4 – study support.
  • 13:30-14:30am Lesson 5 in venue.
  • 14:30 leave site – staggered dismissal .

Six ixth form: What are the tim imings of f the day?

Year 12 are booked in for half days to see their own class teacher for a 2 hour 15 minute session either AM or PM.

  • Morning session: staggered arrival 9:45 wash hands and go to

allocated venue.

  • 10:00 – 12:15am taught session with staggered departure.
  • Afternoon session: staggered arrival 12:45 wash hands and go to

allocated venue.

  • 13:00 – 15:15pm afternoon taught session with staggered departure.

How can I I support good hygiene in in school?

  • Wash your hands on arrival to school site.
  • Use the hand gel at the sanitisation stations.
  • No visible phones/headphones/ use of gum.
  • Follow the toilet guidance – use the zoned toilets, maximum 4 students at

a time.

  • Wash your hands and use the sanitising gel provided regularly throughout

the school day.

  • Inform Reception of any areas of concern – cleaners are on site all day.
  • Stay in the same seat at the same desk with the same PC to minimise

contact.

What if if I I feel il ill? l?

  • If you have any symptoms of COVID-19 do not come into school.
  • If you develop any symptoms whilst you are in school e.g. continuous

cough, temperature then tell a teacher straight away.

  • COVID-19 First Aid is located in the Hub.
  • Your parents will be contacted to collect you.
  • Seek a test and self-isolate.
  • Tell the school the outcome of the test.

What happens if some people can’t follow the rule les?

  • Teachers will remind you and model what is expected.
  • It is your responsibility to report anyone not following the

rules to keep everyone safe.

  • Students who repeatedly break the rules will be sent home.
  • Students who commit a serious offence e.g. deliberately

making physical contact with another student/staff member; cough in someone’s face or spit will be sent home immediately and parents contacted.

How can I I make the most of my tim ime today?

  • Talk to your teachers – about what has gone well/things you have

struggled with.

  • Talk to your friends at social time – 2m apart!
  • Tell us any equipment you have run out of.
  • Ask if you are unsure about lessons, learning, Microsoft Teams,

expectations.

  • Remember that life will not be like this forever but until things are

more normal we are here for you all.
