the Enrollment Center during normal business hours.

ONLY available to students who are born between

• September 2, 2015 & December 2, 2015
• Kindergarten is ONL

ONLY available to students who will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2020

• Are there any exceptions?
• No, TUSD strictly follows the age appropriate

guidelines set by the state of California

PROOF O OOF OF AGE

• Required Documentation – any one of the

following origina inal d l docume uments nts can be provided at the time of enrollment to show proof of your child’s age

• Birth Certificate
• Passport
• Birth Record (from the hospital where your

child was born)

IMMUN UNIZATION R N REQUI UIREM REMEN ENTS

• The state of California mandates all children be fully

immunized before they can attend school

• Required Documentation - any of the following orig

rigin inal l documen ents ts can be provided at the time of enrollment to show proof of your child’s immunizations. Child’s complete name (first & last) along with their date of birth must be on the immunization record.

• In order to enroll you must provide documentation that

you live within TUSD’s geographical boundaries

• To verify your address you can use TUSD’s School

Locator

• If you do not live within district boundaries you will

need to apply for an Interdistrict Permit. For more information on the permit process please visit our website fwec.tusd.org.

PROOF OF RESIDENCE

• Required Documentation
• 2 Proofs Required – must be dated within the last 60 days
• Must be in the Parent/Guardian’s Name
• Mailing and Service address must be the same
• Acceptable Proofs of Residence
• If the parent/guardian is unable to provide any of the above,

additional documentation will be required. Please speak to someone from the Enrollment Center for further information.

MISSED YOUR ENROLLMENT DATES?

• No need to worry, we have scheduled 3 weeks of

make-up dates specifically for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten

• April 13, 2020 – May 1, 2020
• If you are unable to make any of the dates

provided, enrollment for all grade levels will

• pen May 1, 2020 and continue throughout the

year

CHILD CARE

• The Torrance Unified School District does not

provide child care. However, TUSD collaborates with the YMCA who offers before and after school care for students.
