Course Selection Process

Login to PowerSchool Click Class Registration Use your COMPLETED Course Selection Sheet to guide you through your choices in each section. Enter your selections carefully! The portal closes on Sunday, March 17th. Be thoughtful. You have one chance! There will not be an opportunity for course re-selection in the fall, including electives. If you fail to select your own classes, your counselor will select them for you. You will not have an option to change.

Sign up for a Full Schedule - 7 hours

• Classes are offered based on what you sign up for. Don’t assume a class

will run even if it has run in the past.

• Not enough enrollment = class is not offered.
• Sign up for 7 classes (7.0 credits) even if you are planning on Testing Out,

CRs, Dual Enrollment (college class), Online, etc.

• Pick Four Alternate Electives!

– Make sure they are different from 7 classes.

• Late Start? 2nd hour - 7th hour [online, CR, other] - still sign up for 7!!

You STILL need 7 classes!

Admin and Counselors reserve the right to make adjustments to your selections due to academic/graduation, scheduling needs, balancing courses, adjusting MYP courses, etc.

Course Selection Rising 10th Grade Courses

You must take 1 full credit (2 semesters) in either Design, Arts/Music, or Physical Education/Health for the MYP requirement (similar to what you had to do in 9th grade). One class must be in S1 and one class must be in S2. You must select the option for the Personal Project. All 10th graders must take the Personal Project as part of the Middle Years Program. Fill out the Course Selection Worksheet before making selections in PS as PS will time out if you take too long.
