  2. What is email marketing? Email marketing is the act of sending a commercial message, typically to a group of people, using email. In its broadest sense, every email sent to a potential or current customer could be considered email marketing. It usually involves using email to send advertisements, request business, or solicit sales or donations, and is meant to build loyalty, trust, or brand awareness. Marketing emails can be sent to a purchased lead list or a current customer database. The term usually refers to sending email messages with the purpose of enhancing a merchant's relationship with current or previous customers, encouraging customer loyalty and repeat business, acquiring new customers or convincing current customers to purchase something immediately, and sharing third-party ads. 3. Why is email marketing so effective? It’s incredibly personal. ● You don’t have to pay to play - once you’ve got a list. ● You have control over your list. ● Emails reach the intended people. ● Email has much higher clicks and conversions than social media. ● People generally want to see promotional information in their email, not on social ● media, because there’s an understanding that they gave you permission to do that. Why? ● Have you ever switched direction significantly in your business but kept the same list? ● Why have people signed up to your list in the past (what former opt-ins have you had)? ● Have you tried a variety of email styles in the past? (e.g. roundups, blog posts, only ● when selling/launching, more storytelling, etc) Have you switched email service provider - when and why? ● ConvertKit Rockstars

(roundups, blog ● posts, only when selling/launching, etc) What funnels do you currently have? If I sign up on your site right now - what ● happens? If I fall in love with you today, and I sign up everywhere, for everything I can find, what happens? Is your list making you any money? If so, how? ● Can people give you money straight away? If I go to your website now, can I pay you ● for something? ConvertKit Rockstars
