The program is designed to bridge the cultures of the different sectors involved in creative tourism, and will present the general principles of creative tourism as well as more sector‐ specific case studies of creative tourism projects. The conference will be opened with a presentation introducing creative tourism, given by
- ne of the originators of the concept, Professor Greg Richards of Tilburg University in the
Netherlands. The conference sessions will focus on other specific aspects of creative tourism, depending on the specific interests of the participants:
- For artists and cultural managers – developing and designing experiences for creative
visitors
- For tourist professionals ‐ exploring the new possibilities of the creative tourism
market and designing effective marketing strategies.
- For urban planners and city marketing professionals – analyzing the potential for
developing creative tourism in their city or region.
