Community Re lationships

  • Harte Gold is proud to be a partner with local communities
  • It is an important part of our strategy to be successful as a

company while also enabling greater prosperity and development in the area

  • We have recently signed an Impacts and Benefits Agreement

(IBA) with Pic Mobert First Nation and are now in the process of creating a strategy document to define how we can both make this agreement work to its fullest extent

  • At the same time, the communities of White River and

Hornepayne are also ideally placed to join in our success

  • Wherever possible Harte Gold wants to hire locally
  • It makes perfect sense in many ways – provides local employment

and avoids people having to travel long distances to the site

  • This has to be balanced with the skills and experience we need as well

as the extent of training which can be provided

  • We will certainly endeavour to employ locally when we can find the

right people with the right attitude, combination of skills and experience

Busine ss Oppor tunitie s

  • Our construction project has obviously generated a lot of interest

from industry suppliers – both locally and from other established mining centres in places like Timmins, Thunder Bay and Sudbury.

  • We currently have many relationships already with businesses in

White River, Wawa and Marathon and have had a significant impact

  • n several of these companies who are seeing an uptake in revenue

as a result of the Sugar Zone project.

  • A procurement/warehousing person has been employed to assist us

with the need to establish process and relationships with businesses that offer what we need with competitive pricing and supply options.

  • It is part of our strategy to forge meaningful relationships with local

businesses who can offer what we need and, when the right conditions exist, to help establish new local businesses to support out

  • perations.
  • We have started this process with Pic Mobert following our IBA

agreement.

  • We also need to learn more about what other businesses exist – or

might exist in the future – within the communities of White River, Hornepayne so please feel free to share how your companies can support our operations going forward.
