COMMON MISTAKES
No Envelope; no Stamps No Address No Return Address Incomplete Address: ADMISSIONS OFFICE NAME OF UNIVERSITY COMPLETE/CORRECT STREET ADDRESS; ETC. YOUR RETURN ADDRESS Student fails to write specific Admissions Address on the form itself
LET’S AVOID THE FOLLOWING
Story of College X last year
Parent calls me 5/20/14 “College X has not received a transcript” “College X want you to fax it” This is my BUSIEST time of the year I then fax it GA “Sent the transcript out 3/21” (ONE day after I received the request form) GA Calls College X Admissions Representative (rep) say they are meticulous & that (rep) enters & knows (rep) did not enter. I concur 100%. BUT I know it has been sent … so WHERE is it? (Rep) asks me where it was sent & I giver (rep) the address from my College Application & Transcript Request Form completed by the student ..... the address that the STUDENT listed was not the address that the admissions (rep) gave me. Here are the problems: 1- College X - why did it not get forwarded from the “other” office to admissions 2- Student - was there a return address on the envelope? 3- Student - Why did you not give the complete address & the correct address A- You did not write Admissions Dept. B- You had incorrect address 4- Major is Nursing - student did not get admitted since that program has deadline ..... and competitive admission

Most Popular Choices for GM Students
Those students who submit a complete application, including transcripts and test scores, by November 30 will have the best chance of admission to their first choice campus and/or major and will receive an admission decision no later than January 31 (with the exception of a few programs that notify applicants at a later date). Applying after November 30, while acceptable, may limit your campus and major choices. While you can apply after November 30 for most programs, the following programs require the receipt of a complete application by November 30: Accelerated Premedical-Medical; Nursing.
