Purpose

  • Review the Clean Energy Vehicle (CEV) Advanced

Research and Commercialization (ARC) Request for Expression of Interest (RFEOI) to ensure clear understanding of objectives to facilitate proposals – Meeting will not disclose new information about the RFEOI

  • Provide answers to any questions proponents may have

– Questions and answers will be posted to the ARC website (www.arcbc.ca)

Background

  • CEV ARC is a fundamental part of BC’s CEV Program
  • Provides support to companies to promote investment in

CEV sector across all aspects of the supply chain

  • Under current funding call, a total of $675,000 is

available to support product development, commercialization and demonstration

Eligible Proponents

  • Any entity or organization operating in the CEV

sector, validly incorporated or registered in Canada

  • CEV sector includes:

– battery electric vehicles – plug-in hybrid electric vehicles – hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles – companies and organizations across CEV supply chain, from raw materials to consumer products

  • Pre-commercial research and development of

CEV product, service or technology

  • Commercialization of CEV product, service or

technology

  • Demonstration of CEV product, service or

technology

Submission Requirements

  • Proposed project must be completed within

three years after project start date and meet eligibility requirements

  • Proponents must commit at least 10% of project

costs and demonstrate that they have secured funding from other sources

  • Total BC government contribution cannot exceed

50% of project costs

Evaluation Criteria

  • See page 4 of 6 of RFEOI:

– Support an eligible activity – Demonstrate innovation/creativity – Promote synergy/collaboration within CEV sector – Provide positive economic benefits – Leverage external funding – Contribute to reductions in GHG emissions in BC – Reasonable timeline for completion – Capable management team
