Greenbelt Advisory Board (GAB) • Ordinance 1343: – Primary Advisory Body for Greenbelts – Review and revise Comprehensive Greenbelt Plan every 5 years – Prepare and deliver to Council findings, recommendations and comments regarding the Plan. – Receive input from public through extensive public input process • 2017 Greenbelt Plan Update: – Sub-committee of GAB will review both Rural and Urban Greenbelt projects – GAB will review recommendations of sub-committee and make final recommendations to Council

Eligible Greenbelt Fund Recipient  Charleston County or a municipality in Charleston County;  any agency, commission, or instrumentality of the County;  not-for-profit charitable corporation or trust authorized to do business in this State and organized and operated for natural resource conservation, land conservation, or historic preservation purposes;  an agency or instrumentality of the United States Government; and  any other entities as may be approved at the discretion of County Council on a case-by-case basis.

  12. Eligible Costs  Acquisition of Land or Interests in Land  Minor Improvements, limited to:  Boardwalks  Foot bridges  Unpaved Trails  Unpaved Roadways  Unpaved Small Parking Areas

  14. Application Process • Provide a signed original hard copy of the entire packet. • Site Visits by Staff (and subcommittee members) • Staff Review & GAB Review • Council Decision • Grant Agreement, Closing, Funds Dispersed • Annual Monitoring
