  4. What is Certification? o Wikipedia says - Certification refers to the confirmation of certain characteristics of an object, person, or organization. This confirmation is often, but not always, provided by some form of external review, education, assessment, or audit. o ASHA certification provides assurance to all stakeholders (patients, state boards, employers, insurers) that you possess the knowledge, skills and abilities for entry-level practice. o Certification is often confused with membership, licensure and accreditation. Certification is the only function that measures your knowledge, skills and abilities, that is, competence.
