ØJMG accepted into Ø ESCI launched in 2015 as a new database within Web of

Science (WoS). As of February 2017, the database contains 5,578 journals

ØEach journal in this new index will be evaluated every year

and those qualified will be transferred to SSCI

ØJournals indexed in the ESCI will not receive Impact Factors;

however, the citations from the ESCI will now be included in the citation counts for the Journal Citation Reports

ØIndexing in the ESCI will improve the visibility of a journal,

provides a mark of quality and is good for authors
