  3. Celebrate Earth Day by Sharing with… Invite schools, universities and community groups to tour your facility to learn about Sustainable Manufacturing processes. In 2018, G-COR celebrated Earth Day by inviting students from a local career center to tour their facility and learn about Sustainable Manufacturing.

Hold an in-service day in your community • Clean up a playground or city park • Plant trees at your business or a local school • Your idea here MERA Chairman Dave Overbeeke and his colleagues at Brake Parts Inc planted a tree as part of their Earth Day 2018 celebration.

The team from Endural (above), dressed in green for Earth Day, holding bags of regrind in front of their grinder and gaylords. The black high density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic used to make transportation cases is 100% recyclable.

The MERA celebration included sharing cookies, videos and fun Earth Day themed activities with sister division, OESA. AEI employees took time from their extended Earth Day lunch break to pose for a photo with their Certification flag. Schedule a special employee breakfast, lunch or fun afternoon break to celebrate your company’s Sustainable Manufacturing impact.
