WATER STATIONS (Water Treatment Facilities)

• ICRC pulled out (1) Filtration Unit in Brgy. Poblacion
• Maynilad Filtration unit functioning for 4 hours/ day in Brgy. Abejod

WATER TRUCKING

• CRS: 1truck with 6000liters to San Vicente, San Miguel, Papag EC (Tina), Alegria (Sitio

Yahuno, Limao) until March 14, 2013

• PRC: water source from Baganga to other barangays in Cateel

WATER KIT (Jerry Can) – gaps in Poblacion will be filled by CRS and DOH REHABILITATION of Small Scale Water system (on-going)

• Hand pumps in Mainit, Aragon (Plan and HRC)
• Repair intake box in Taytayan and San Alfonso (Plan)
• Hand pumps in San Miguel and San Vicente (CRS)

On-going activities

• Construction of Semi-permanent latrines by CRS, HRC, and Plan in

covered barangays (16)

• Conducted KAP surveys in CRS, HRC and Plan covered barangays (16)
• Hygiene promotion sessions
• Capability building (HP Training) to municipal and barangay health

volunteers

• Water quality monitoring for communal water sources (CRS, HRC,

RHU)

Others

• On-going inventory of supplies by DOH
• Planned latrine repair kit distribution to 9 barangays (CRS)
• Mortality and m orbidity m onitoring by CHV (HRC)
• Com m unity-based and Hygiene prom otion in schools (CRS and Plan)
• Water quality m onitoring by CHV (all barangays)
• STANDARDIZED LABOR RATE (Construction) as agreed by the

cluster (Except for Plan w ith P281 fixed rate) Labor P250 Skilled P300

Issues

• Desludging (c/ o HRC)
• Emergency latrines in need for desludging in the coming months but

there is no identified dump site/ sanitary land fill

• Option: Sludge treatment (on-site?)
• Request: for RSI to present the situation to the Mayor to provide/ identify

land fill

• Solid Waste Management
• Incomplete debris clean-up, need to identify dump site and waste

management system (dumping and collection)

• Open defecation in Purok Madre de Cacao, Poblacion

Issues

• WHAT ARE THE PLANS OF THE LGU???
