higher rate than the statewide rate

  • NMRPS CTE cohort graduation rate

is 100%

  • 95.6% of secondary CTE students

were employed, in the military, or in postsecondary education or advanced training after graduation

  • Combines academic, technical,

and “soft”/21st Century skills and learning

  • CTE classes combine relevance

and rigor

CTE Prepares Students for Their Future

CTE Concentration is based on Career Pathways

  • A CTE concentrator is a student who completes at least 4 CTE

classes in a pathway/cluster and one must be a level 2 course

  • Allows students the opportunity to “try out” different career
  • ptions but also allow a focus in a specific program area
  • Career awareness is increased and hopefully prevent students

from changing majors in college or choosing a career choice not relative to their interest
