College and Alumni Program (CAP) Goals

1. Provide coaching to build Wave-Makers’ academic, social and emotional growth 2. Wave-Makers will raise their GPAs each term 3. Wave-Makers will earn full-time units and make timely progress toward their degrees 4. Provide financial literacy coaching to ensure Wave-Makers graduate with as little debt as possible 5. Wave-Makers will contribute to their community by applying Making Waves’ Core Values 6. Ensure a safe and supportive program to best serve Wave-Makers

Our Approach:

Improve the Tool Kit: Raise expectations about Career Readiness by ensuring all students complete their CAP Professional Development Portfolio Career Coaching: Ensure all students are having specific conversations about career preparation and graduation each year they are in college Grow Their Network: Ensure all students grow their network and have access to those in their field in order to navigate entry into careers of their choice Competitive Experience: Support students to identify and apply to competitive jobs/internships/enrichment opportunities in their desired field
