Call for Proposals & Abstracts The KATS Research & Education Committee has issued a Call for Proposals for presentations for the 2019 KATS Clinical Symposium & Members’ Meeting. The meeting will be held June 1st and 2nd, 2019, at Kroger Field in The Makers Mark Room in Lexington, Ky. The deadline for submission of proposals is February 1, 2019. We are seeking proposals for Workshops, Feature Presentation, and Special Topics

Workshop: This would be a hands-on session designed for participants to learn and practice a skill, technique, or maneuver. Workshops should be feasible and realistic regarding the number of participants that can attend per session and be able to actively engage the instructor. If materials and equipment are needed to host the workshop, those items must be listed as part of the abstract on the application. ALL material ad equipment needs should be discussed with the course coordinators prior to submitting the application in order to determine if the session can be feasibly delivered. Please send an email to rullery@uky.edu listing the needed materials and equipment, an explanation explaining why the materials and equipment would be needed for the session, and which materials and equipment the session instructor would provide. Feature Presentation: This would be a didactic lecture 20-120 minutes in length. The lecture can serve as either a Category A or EBP session. If the lecture is a pre- approved EBP session, the approved faculty is responsible for the administrative components associated with the session (participant assessment, course evaluations, certificates of completion, etc). KATS will assist with registration and supply the approved faculty with sign-in sheets related to the session. If the applicant would prefer KATS to apply for the EBP approval, the applicant must provide ALL information to the course coordinators to complete the BOC EBP application. Special Topics: This would be a session that is unique but relevant to practicing athletic
