- Do not leave ANY items in your car, especially not your purse, keys, or
garage door opener
- Stop warming up your car in the driveway
- Park in a garage whenever possible and keep your garage door secured
- No bumper/window stickers advertising what might be inside your car or
home
- Use online payment, P.O. boxes (no checks to and from mailbox) or get a
locking mailbox
- Trim landscaping; don’t give thieves an avenue in which to hide
- Get to know your neighbors, look out for people and vehicles that don’t
belong
- Install a home alarm system, or a LoJack in your car
- Don’t allow strangers into your home
- Be situationally aware
