What is 4G WiFi Data Offloading

4G WiFi Data Offloading is the process in which a cellular operator moves data traffic from its own cellular network to a secondary WiFi network. This allows for additional voice traffic to be added to the network as well as data traffic over legacy type phones where no WiFi radios exist. In the past when a site was congested an additional Macro Cell or Micro Cell Site would be needed to added for the network to be able to handle the additional network growth.
