Tourism is the largest contributor to foreign exchange earnings  By 2019, tourism sector is forecasted to make the largest contribution to foreign exchange earnings with a total contribution of approximately 20 billion U.S. dollars.  The impact of foreign exchange earnings can be immediately felt by the whole societies. 2. Best in the region  By 2019, Indonesia’s tourism is targeted to be one of the best in the region even surpassing ASEAN.  Our main competitor is Thailand that already made a total contribution of more than 40 billion U.S. dollars to its foreign exchange earnings in tourism. 3.
