Converting policy into action

IEE is an EU support programme promoting increased energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources by overcoming the non-technological barriers (legal, financial, institutional, cultural, social barriers)

BUILD UP, an initiative funded under the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme (IEE)

Means of action

IEE2: € 730 million from 2007-13 One call every year: Projects

– ~ 7-8 partners – 3 year maximum duration – Total budget ~ € 1,000,000 – IEE supports up to 75% of eligible costs – No hardware or R&D costs
