What is Triple P (Positive Parenting Prog.)? Evidence-Based Programmes (EBP)

What is Evidence-Based Programme?

• Programme that is “endorsed” by a respected research
• rganisation and included in their list of effective

programmes

• Evaluation research shows that it produces the expected

and consistent positive results; and results attributed to the programme itself, rather than to other external factors or events

• In 2014 - 2015, MSF piloted

the EBP parenting programmes to 50 schools.

• 2017 - 149 schools onboard
• 2018 - 175 schools

What is the Aim of Triple P?

Prevent behavioural, emotional and developmental problems in teenagers by enhancing the knowledge, skills and confidence of parents

Triple P Seminar (Level 2)

Three Triple Seminars;

• 1. Positive Parenting
• 2. Raising Competent and Confident

Children

• 3. Raising Resilient Children

 Individual consultation to help parents manage one or two specific behaviour issues that are a current concern  It is 4 sessions X 45 -60 minutes personal sessions  Tailored to meet your needs

Triple P Consultation (Level 3)

Group + Individual /Telephone Sessions 4 X 2hr Group sessions (4-6 families) 3 telephone calls Final 1 X 2hr Group Session

Triple P Consultation (Level 4)

Triple P Online (Level 3 & 4)

Two different versions based on age of the child 1.1.Primary schools: Toddlers to Tweens 2.2. Secondary schools: Pre-Teens and Teens 3.Each version has standardised content (videos, podcasts, narrated slides, tipsheets). 4.Parents can access the content 24/7 for 12 months. For MSF’s pilot of TPOL:

• 5. • TPOL to be offered to Level 3 or 4 parents
• 6. • Parents are to complete the content within 3 months of registration.

They can re-watch any of the content after that (for 9 more months). 7.• Participation in the evaluation is compulsory

Parents will receive an Invitation pack. Inside will contain information about the Programme. * Helps us to match you with the right programme by completing the questionnaire and returning it back.
