The hotel-barge MIRABELLE: : Another World...

The barge is a 38.5m long (Freycinet) completely riveted steel structure which provides a maximum capacity of 24 passengers and a wonderful warm home for river cruises. Unique in the Aquitaine basin, the Mirabelle navigates the heart of Bordeaux and its region both on canals & rivers such as the river Garonne, Dordogne and Gironde. Designed for maximum comfort:

The terrace offers peace of mind closer to the lapping over the bow. These amenities can be transformed as needed into a bar, tea room or video & internet business center: air conditioning and central heating temper wisely the indoor environment. The lounge invites you to relax. The professional kitchen is designed to prepare the most delicate dishes. The dining area combines gastronomy and panoramas of exceptions. Day 3 – Tuesday-

You will travel along the Garonne River in the Bordeaux suburbs, until the passage of the Stone Bridge and the pier in the center

  • f Bordeaux facing the region's most prestigious panorama. The Stone Bridge, Place de la Bourse and Quai des Chartrons

intermingle in a single view. You are absorbed by the many historical monuments. The daily excursion program continues with a visit to the town of Bordeaux through these architectural gems. You can enjoy free time until evening to soak up their mind or indulge in shopping at the heart of the city.

Day 1 – Sunday

In the afternoon, your plane lands on the runway at the airport Bordeaux-Merignac or your train enters the station of Bordeaux Saint-Jean. Our guide will meet you, welcome you and accompany you by bus to the boat moored along the Canal des Deux Mers Castets-en-Dorthe. A welcome cocktail awaits you on board. Your first dinner is a taste of the excellent meals are served throughout the cruise.

Day 2 - Monday

You are in the Graves, the birthplace of Bordeaux wines. The excursion program begins with visits to the Sauternais region. You discover the sublime sweet whites of Sauternes such as Château d’Yquem and the architecture of the magnificent wine growing Châteaux, dating from the Middle Ages to the 19th century.

After lunch, you pass the locks of the canal to enter the Garonne and

navigate at the foot of city Cadillac. You enjoy this princely Bastide and its Entre-deux-Mers region wines between Garonne and Dordogne.

Day 7 - Saturday - Time of departure, we support you until the departure of your train or plane.

The cruise takes place alternately in opposite directions each week

Day 5 - Thursday

You cross the Gironde estuary to reach another famous area of the Bordeaux region: the Medoc. The boat reached the wharf for the landing of Pauillac Castles. Your bus will take you through the vineyards to visit one of the most famous wine-cellar. We sail on the estuary of the Gironde. By late afternoon Mirabelle arrives to the Dordogne on the dock Bourg. This village is offered to you for a ride before dinner.

Day 4 - Wednesday

You will cruise the Garonne River, admire the tip of the Ambe’s nozzle and enter the Gironde estuary to the jetty of Blaye. The Coteaux stop will allow you to visit the remarkable seventeenth century fortress of Vauban. A famous Castle awaits you to taste its famous wine glory of the town.

Today’s cruise takes you on the River Dordogne to Libourne . After an excursion to the picturesque town of Saint-Emilion, where wine is as old as the underground cellars carved in stone, you visit the old town where you explore the caves of monoliths eighteenth century and enjoy a vintage of Grand Cru. Then follow your gala dinner.

ESTUARY CRUISE

The rhythm of the tides, your cruise takes you on the largest estuary in Europe: navigating the rivers Dordogne, Gironde and Garonne across this river estuary on the top or 'area of the islands'', the discovery of an exceptional heritage.

Your program: Day 1/2 : LIBOURNE – SAINT-EMILION - BOURG

Sunday : Boarding at Libourne toward 6p.m.. A welcome cocktail awaits you on

  • board. Your first dinner is a taste of the excellent meals are served throughout the
  • cruise. You have the evening for a walk in the heart of Libourne where the tower of

Grand Port, town hall, arcaded buildings of the Place Royale, testify to the prosperity of the city over the centuries.

Monday: After a hearty breakfast, our bus takes you on a tour of the underground

monuments of the village of Saint-Emilion. Your guide will explain the history of the medieval city. You then leave to discover a family-owned vineyard where you are greeted by the owner. You will discover the secret steps of the St. Emilion wine

  • making. A tasting concludes the visit.

Back on board for your gourmet lunch and cruise departure. Navigation along the Dordogne reveals the formation of the Gironde estuary and takes you to Bourg. In addition to the views of the river, enjoy a panorama of the city at its most beautiful face of the old village. Then experience the upper town with its public laundry, its fountain and walls. During your dinner, enjoy local food and wine before your overnight stop.

Day 3 : BOURG - BLAYE

Tuesday: Breakfast on board and start cruising towards Blaye. After skirting the island Cazeau and Patiras, the citadel of Blaye

is awaits you, imposing and majestic. The citadel overlooks the estuary of the Gironde offering a splendid

  • panorama. After lunch, it is the departure for a guided tour of the fortress of

the seventeenth century reflects a rich past. An afternoon concludes with a must visit Castle and wine tasting. Your day ends with a dinner flavors of the estuary and your overnight stop.

Day 4 : BLAYE – PAUILLAC

Wednesday : Cruise departs early in the morning during breakfast. You

navigate to reach Pauillac in the Gironde. Originally built by vintners or by master mariners, Pauillac maintained the waterfront mansions in its noble

  • stone. You raise the discovery of the Médoc terroir prestige; This part of the

world is home of the most prestigious red wines, sandwiched between an

  • cean and an estuary.

You cross the most prestigious appellations of the Medoc (St. Julien, Margaux, Haut-Médoc ...) on the famous Route des Chateaux. You see also the inevitable Castles Rothschild. It is a must stop for a tasting tour of a castle of the Medoc and sharing a friendly moment before before finishing the cruise and being accompany by bus on Bordeaux.

MARGAUX ISLAND - BORDEAUX OPTION:

Your cruise continues... Return on board for gourmet lunch, we stopped on the island Margaux to enjoy its historical heritage, its 365 varieties of fruit trees and vineyards where you can taste the wine of the island. We navigate on the Garonne River along Bassens, Bordeaux harbo, dock Chartrons ... for your end of cruise, stopover in the heart of the city, at the most prestigious panoramas of the region: the Stone Bridge, the Place de la Bourse and Quai des Chartrons in a single view. You take a cocktail before leave the Mirabelle toward 6p.m.
