  2.  An opportunity to provide critical professional learning to our guest teachers and guest teaching assistants to limit or negate the potential negative impact on the learning environment when teachers need to be absent.  Recognize the hard work of our dedicated guest teachers and guest teaching assistants and hopefully motivate them to return to our district as much as we need them. 2

  3.  How do we continue our efforts to ensure that student diversity is understood and appreciated by all adults in our buildings?  How do we minimize the impact of a teacher absence on student learning?  How do we ensure that student safety will be guided with the same level of confidence even when their teacher is absent?  How do we properly train guest teachers and guest teaching assistants and encourage them to work more in our district?  How can we increase our pool of guest teachers? 3

  6.  June 20 ◦ (7 hours of training)  July 23 ◦ (7 hours of training)  Two evenings in October ◦ (each evening = 3.5 hours)  Two evenings in February ◦ (each evening = 3.5 hours) 6

  7.  All guest teachers that attend the Guest Teacher Academy will be recognized for attending and be financially recognized with $10 more per day. Each guest teaching assistant who attends will receive $1.00 more per hour. 7
