General Presentation of HEC a few words of history Unique to France, the Grandes Ecoles were formed in the early 19th century to channel the «best and the brightest»

  • f the nation’s youth into the French

ministries, armies and engineering corps. HEC was founded in 1881 by The Paris Chamber of Commerce and I ndustry (CCI P) a semi-public agency representing businesses and education in the greater Paris region. HEC was the first business school to create a campus close to Paris, inaugurated by de Gaulle in 1964.
